Palm Beach Post:She sells seashells by the seashore. Palm Beach native Sasha Lickle's love affair with shells began on the beaches of the Bahamas. Those childhood summers spent trolling the sand would eventually inspire her to take a different path in life, perhaps when she needed it most. Sasha was amassing an impressive academic resume - the Rollins College graduate had earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University and had begun her doctoral work there - when a back injury left her bedridden for nine months. 'I was bored out of my mind,' the 26-year-old says. Soon, an idea washed up: She would create her own line of jewelry using shells from all over the world. Her necklaces, bracelets and earrings feature gold-plated sand dollars, red delphinium shells, pink coral and turquoise. Prices start at $45. 'I wanted to make a line that's inexpensive, because I don't think there are many lines out there that are under $200' a piece, she says.
